*There were two different Dipsticks used in the 230SL, this is the late version, early 230SL's had a dipstick with a filter/breather at the top, Fits *230SL above Engine# ending in 010787 on Manual Transmission models and Engine# ending in 002990 on Automatic Transmission models.

**There were two different Dipsticks used in the 280SL, this is the early version, Fits 280SL up to Engine# ending in 005053 on Manual Transmission models and up to Engine# ending in 002802 on Automatic Transmission models.
