5 of 5 Great replacement for original firewall pad August 5, 2014

My firewall pad had long since deteriorated and mostly disintegrated. I was a little concerned about the rigid nature of this product when it first arrived, but once the paper backing is removed, it is more pliable. If I had to do it again, I'd leave the pad in the sun for 10 minutes or so before fitting to make it easier to work with. I installed as a retrofit (not restoration), so minor cutting was required.

I don't know what the original firewal pad should have looked like before, but this one certainly looks great. Substantial construction and wickedly strong adhesive means that this one will outlast me.
