Mercedes Thermo Time Switch Kit
**fits 230SL 250SL 280SL 113Ch.
Used in Cold Start Circuit of Fuel Injection System.

Includes Switch, Seal Ring, Boot and Connector Plug Assembly.

**This part is Identical in function to the original 001 545 9224 Switch, it uses the same terminal markings and has the same specifications. The only difference is that it uses Pin type connectors rather than Screw type.

The Connector is fully Covered by the Boot as shown in Photos and appears the same as original with Boot.

New Mercedes Parts

Specifications: Mounting Threads - M14 x 1.5 / 12V Max 40w / Delay @ -20C (-4 Deg F) 9.5 sec / Max. Temp: 125C (257 Deg F) / Switch Opens at: 35C (95 Deg F) +- 3c

**Many replacement Switches being sold are designed to be installed to sense the Intake manifold air temperature on later MB models and have internal circuits that are designed to open at 20 Deg. C (68 Deg. F) so the internal contacts will no longer function and the switch will not deliver fuel through the Cold Start Valve if the coolant is above this temperature. The original switch, as well as this replacement switch, are designed to work in the Coolant System and deliver extra fuel through the Cold Start Valve for 9.5sec at any temperature up to 20deg C, above this temperature the time begins to drop until the coolant reaches 35 Degrees C (95 Degrees F) at which point the internal contact will stay open and the Cold Start Valve will not deliver any fuel.
