the intake filters for my '72 280SE 4.5 were on their last legs, and this new filter is a perfect fit. the new design does away with the paper frame and upgrades to a rubber material. filter media is much improved, too. i believe the new material will hold less moisture, which i suspect will reduce corrosion in the cowl. the overall result is a super-clean look (all black) that's super subtle and allows the chrome trim to really pop. definitely recommend.
